ELEVEN Ups the Ante for Children’s National Science Café 360°
April 28, 2017 – Immersive Marketing Technology announced today that Children’s National launched the integration of ELEVEN into their Science Café 360° events last night at Busboys and Poets in Washington, DC. Science Café 360° enhances the dialogue between clinical researchers, social scientists, and the community to further discussions and advancements around children’s health. ELEVEN enables attendees to interact with the speakers, immediately download presentations to their personal device, and answer evaluation questions while at the event.
"The response to ELEVEN has been very positive," stated Chaya Merrill, Director, Child Health Data Lab at Children's National Health System. "We're looking forward to using the technology at upcoming events to better engage the community with our mission and immediately leverage their feedback and ideas.”
ELEVEN will be part of the next Science Café 360° on June 14, 2017.
“We are thrilled to be part of the Science Cafés,” commented Todd Mercer, Founder and CEO at Immersive. “ELEVEN brings together technologies that enable Children’s to immerse their audience in the event, drive interactions between attendees, speakers, and hosts, and keep the community coming back for more.”
About Children’s Science Café 360°
Science Café 360° is a casual forum, held at a local coffee shop, for community members to talk with pioneering health researchers about pressing local health issues. Each discussion focuses on a different health topic – sickle cell disease, sleep and stress, or obesity, for example. Leading researchers in the field will explain their work, and the impact they hope it will have on health in the District. In turn, community members have the opportunity to ask questions and share their own experiences. Learn more at https://childrensnational.org/advocacy-and-outreach.
Children’s National was awarded the prestigious Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) grant, from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), to establish the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at Children’s National (CTSI-CN). The CTSI-CN is a partnership between Children’s National and The George Washington University. With an emphasis on health disparities and childhood antecedents to adult diseases, CTSI-CN builds upon its pediatric research strengths in areas such as rare diseases, asthma, and neuro-developmental disabilities to collaborate with a national network of 1,200 community health centers. The Science Café 360 series is sponsored by the CTSI-CN. Learn more at ctsicn.org.
